Limited Conditional Warranty Certificate

 

1. Warranty Coverage

Smeding Performance Crate Engines are covered by a 3-year, unlimited mileage conditional warranty. This warranty applies exclusively to automotive engine applications.

Note: Engines designated for Power Adder Usage carry a 1-year warranty.

Note: Marine, Airboat or Jet Boat applications are not covered under this warranty.

 

2. Eligibility for Warranty Service

All warranty claims must be processed directly through Smeding Performance, LLC. Engines and components must be returned to our facility for inspection.

 

If, after inspection, Smeding Performance determines that the product contains defects in materials or workmanship, our sole obligation shall be, at our discretion, to:

- Repair the product, or

- Replace the product with a comparable unit.

 

3. Exclusions from Coverage

This warranty does not apply under the following circumstances:

- The product has been disassembled, modified, or altered in any way.

- Damage occurs as a result of negligence, improper installation, or misuse by the customer or installer.

- The product has been used in racing, competition, or other high-performance applications beyond intended use.

- The engine is installed in vehicles registered or operated outside of the United States.

 

4. Limitations of Liability

This warranty covers the product only. It does not include costs associated with:

- Removal or reinstallation of the engine.

- Shipping to or from Smeding Performance.

- Labor, towing, or any related expenses.

 

Smeding Performance, LLC shall not be held liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, or financial loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the product.

 

5. Customer Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to:

- Properly install and maintain the engine in accordance with industry standards.

- Retain proof of purchase to verify warranty eligibility.

- Contact Smeding Performance prior to attempting any warranty claim.
